After graduating from college with a fashion degree and minoring in business. Our CEO and Founder Thao Do (Ly) who is also a licensed Cosmetologist started a small nails and spa business called Serenity Nails and Spa in Burlington and later expanded to a second spa in Greensboro. Even though Serenity Nails and Spa was for nail services, Ly was always fascinated in lashes and brows. With the money she saved from the nail businesses, she was able to travel around the world to attend training with many outstanding masters in the industry . In 2017, she opened Serenity Waxing Studio where she offer waxing, eyelash extensions, and semi permanent makeup. She continued to advance her skills by taking courses with many innovative artists and continues to learn until this day. With much integrity, Ly is passionate about supporting and motivating women. With confidence in her techniques, Ly was able to share her passion with others though her teaching. And that is when Ly's Beauty Academy was born. After teaching many courses, she recognized that her students needed a variety of products to start their careers. Buying products from big brand companies can become expensive. After careful consideration, Ly took the risk of borrowing money to invest in sourcing eyelash/permanent makeup products and tools. She work hard day and night to manage her business, provide quality products, services, and training. Training with Ly is very simple as she is very supportive of her student's. Most students feel blessed because she takes her time to ensure each individual is confident at what they are learning and to become successful.
